A Perfect Weekend for a Spring Fling!

This  Weekend - APRIL 20 - 21 -n is a perfect weekend to spend in beautiful Lake Guntersville!


April 20 promises to be a day of fun for all ages in Guntersville with the downtown Spring Fling event, Rock the Block fundraiser, Art on the Lake, and other activities.
Spring Fling Presented by the Lake Guntersville Merchants Association, the annual Spring Fling invites visitors to shop sidewalk sales and participate in special activities with downtown Guntersville
merchants.

Beginning at 10 a.m., vendors and food trucks will line Taylor Street with an array of arts, crafts,and food to shop and enjoy.

Live entertainment will take place at Errol Allan Park throughout the day. 

Performances also include an excerpt from the Whole Backstage Theatre’s spring musical “Beauty and the Beast,” the second grade Guntersville Elementary School choir and the Guntersville High and Middle
School choirs. 

A DJ will keep the music going starting at 4 p.m. Children’s activities

As part of the Spring Fling, games and activities for children will be on the green spaces on Taylor Street and at City Harbor. 

Total Dental Care will also provide free snow cones, and a Bubble Dance party is slated at Errol Allan Park.

Additionally, Guntersville First Methodist Church will have a Touch-a-Truck event from 9a.m to noon, where children can explore all types of vehicles.


Children are also encouraged to participate in a Lily the Catfish scavenger hunt. Lily the Catfish is a fictional children’s book about a catfish in a big pink bow that explores various places in and around Lake Guntersville. To participate in the scavenger hunt, children will take selfies at each of the locations mentioned in the book for a chance to win a prize. Information about the scavenger hunt will be available at Errol Allan Park during the Spring Fling.


 Start your weekend at Guntersville First Methodist Church “TOUCH A TRUCK” an interactive hands on activity for kids!





 Then head over to Errol Allan Park with the Child Advocacy Center of Marshall County “ROCK THE BLOCK” 10am-12pm.  Rock the Block The Marshall County Child Advocacy Center will kick off the day with its annual Rock the Block fundraising event. In honor of Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, the Rock the Block awareness walk will take place through downtown. Following the walk, people can enjoy vendors and entertainment. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. The walk begins at 10 a.m.

Enjoy all the festivities Lake Guntersville Spring Fling has to offer!  From local eats, sidewalk sales, local entertainment, food truck, vendors, family-friendly activities & MORE you will not want to miss it! 





Make your way over to Art on the Lake April 20 - 21, at the Guntersville Rec Center where you will find local artists and vendors , eats & sweets, family-friendly activities and Local Guntersville City Schools Students artwork on display. 

Art on the Lake, slated for Saturday and Sunday at the Guntersville Recreation Center on Sunset Drive, showcases the work of artists from across the Southeast. 

Food vendors and children’s activities will also be available at this event.

Evening activities
Visitors can finish their Saturday evening at any number of restaurants downtown and at City Harbor. Additionally, Stach & Co. and Bakers on Main is hosting the annual Spring Fling  Uncorked wine tasting event at Stach & Co. from 5-7 p.m. Participants will have the chance to sample 16 different wines, including international wines and bottles from United Johnson Brothers, Grassroots, and Alabama Crown. Tickets for the wine tasting are $50 each.
